Stumpjumper FSR 120 (med) – £500
This is a really versatile bike in good condition. It’s a surprisingly light frame and will build up into a fast XC/marathon bike but bung some bigger tyres on and it’s happy to take on bigger, rockier stuff too. Ideal for trail centres and all-day rides.
I’ve had this since new and can honestly say it’s had an easy life. I bought it for UK trips away and rarely use it at home in the Surrey hills. This bike is ready to ride and should stay that way for a good few miles before anything needs servicing or replacing.
All the frame bearings were changed just a few rides ago and are smooth and creak-free. The frame has a few chips and scratches, as you’d expect, but no cracks, dents or dings. It touches up nicely with matt black paint and still looks really smart. It has a Fox Septune, shock with rebound and seven clicks of pro-pedal.
The fork has been recently serviced and is working perfectly. The stanchions are immaculate. There are some small marks on the lowers but nothing major.
The cranks have some heel rub but are functionally perfect. The BB is fairly new and is smooth and silent. There’s a tooth missing from the big ring but doesn’t affect shifting but I’ll chuck in a spare anyway.
The wheel bearings are all good and the rims are straight and true to within a mm or so. The stem and bars are in VGC. The seatpost is a Specialized (not the Joplin in the pics) and is cosmetically a bit tatty but functionally fine.
The drive train is all working fine and has lots of miles left in it.
The brakes have been recently bled and work fine. However, there’s a bit of paint missing on one of the levers (see pics).
