- FS OT Mercedes Vito Camper Van (professional conversion but non-runner)
I’m not happy I’m having to post this up, but I unfortunately do not have the time, space or money to be able to sort my van out or shift the fittings into a new shell 😥
I am hoping that someone handy on here can get themselves a bargain and either drop in a reconditioned engine or use the bits to fully kit out a new van.
Here are the details and a few photos (I have dated the pics since the latest ones I took were mainly to show the current state of the van rather than the layout and I have some earlier shots that show that better)
Mercedes Vito 108 D fixed roof 2 Berth Campervan.
reg 98(S) Cherry Red
100k miles, but that’s pretty much irrelevant since there’s a whacking great crack in the engine block.
It was professionally converted in 2003 by Beckenham Motor Caravans.
Conversion inludes full lining and insulation, swivel front seats, double seat/bed with two 3point seat belts in the back, full length side/wardrobe units, smev double gas burner and full butane cylinder, sink with 12v tap, on board water/waste water tanks, 12v cool box, 12/240 v electrics (second battery with relay charger) and electric hook up with cable. Insulated 7 layer silver screens for windows, door air vents and midgie net for sliding door. Thule roof bars and Hollywood two bike carrier on tow bar.
JVC Stereo with iPod/usb input and new speakers to replace the knackered OEM one was fitted in 2008.
Bodywork isn’t perfect and there is quite a lot of rust along the bottom of the doors, but the interior is in very good condition.
Untaxed, but did pass its last MOT before the blue smoke started billowing out!
Looking for £900 but open to offers.
Van is currently SORNed and in the Borders.
