This bike was first sold in March 2008 and I bought it in Jan 2010. I am 6’ tall and it fits me well. Though it is four years old it hasn’t been ridden much at all over the last two years, hence the reason it is for sale. If I were keeping it I would service the forks and shock
Condition. The main anodised aluminium frame looks almost new with the only mark being that part of the “Yeti” logo on the top tube has been rubbed off. The rear carbon triangle has some rub marks, which I have attached photos of. There is some oxidation on the aluminium parts of the brakes and the bolts, but nothing that effects performance. The rear shock is unmarked. The XTR group set has the usual marks but is in good condition. There are some marks on the lower fork legs but nothing on the stanchions. Wheels are true and as can be seen in photos are in good nick.
The new build price would have been around £4k. I am looking for £1,100. Not a lot of cash for a 140mm travel bike that without pedals weighs in at 28lbs (I weighted it today). If you have any questions or want more photos let me know. I would be very happy to show the bike to potential buyers. I am based in Bristol.Posted 5 years ago
I would be happy to courier it to you, provided of course you paid for it. I should tell you though that the forks definitely need a service. They are losing oil through the seals and the lockout is not working. I have spoken to TF Tuned and a full service to sort the forks would cost £89. I would knock this of the price. The advantage to the buyer of doing this (as opposed to me doing it) its that TF will set the forks up as the new buyer wants them set. Having just had them do the forks on my Trek, I can vouch for how good it is to have them tuned to your weight and riding style.
Sadly I have no plans to be in London any time soon. Though I do have mates who travel up regularly. Where are you based?Posted 5 years ago
Rear shock seems fine, but as with any secondhand bike servicing of shock and forks is a very good idea. I can show that I purchased the bike off ebay in Jan 2010. I also have a letter from Freeflow Bikes in Glasgow confirming they sold it to the pervious owner on the 20th March 2008. So you can be sure it is not stolen.Posted 5 years ago
