- FS: Kona Stinky – 2006 – small
Selling on behalf of a friend. He bought it about 5 months ago and has used it once! Honestly..I was there. It was always too much bike for him, but he swears he had fun that day.
He’s really more of a roadie and there’s not much round here that calls for a burly DH rig, plus I convinced him to get rid of his car in favour of a bike so we can’t easily get to any big hills!
He’s looking for £450 posted, would prefer collection in Dundee, but can post if have to!
Spec is as follows:
BB – TruVativ Hussefelt-Howitzer
Cassette – 11-32 9 speed
Crank – TruVativ Hussefelt-Howitzer (36/24)
Pedals – FPD (he’s still sporting scars!)
Deore Front mecha and shifters
LX rear mech
TruVativ Hussefelt OS Stem and Handlebars
TruVativ XR seatpost
WTB Pure V Comp saddle
Marzocchi Drop Off Triple Forks – 170mm
Fox Vanilla DHX 3.0 shock – 7″
(if you know the pressures you want I can inflate as required before sale)
Sun MTX-S rims laced to Deore rear and KK front. Run smooth and no dings or dents.
Maxxis Minion DH 2.5 tyres…plently of life left (see pics)
Brakes – Hayes Nine. 203mm rotors front and rear.
He has said the brakes were shyte! They prob need a bleed and new pads. I’ll include another Hayes nine rear I’ve got lying in my shed with the sale.
Any marks have been shown in the pics, but if there are any questions, please just ask me, not my bike but sure I know more about it than him!

Great price IMHO. Ive had a turn on one of these before and they are solid and reliable. not to mention fun 🙂 If its been used as little as it says, this is a bargain. Ideal first downhill / freeride bike, with plenty room for upgrades as you progress. Was out in Morzine a month ago and there was quite a few Stinkys. For a reason 🙂 shame its a small….Posted 6 years ago
