FS: Airborne Ti frame, bargain price
Hi, looking to sell this to fund a new frame, so its a bargain for a ti frame.
Airborne lancaster frame, no decals, got a bit untidy so were removed, raw ti finish, so no lacquer to got tatty. Disc mount professionally added.
This frame is really light, supple yet has brilliant power delivery.
Can do pics, msol644(AT)hotmail.com, or i’m in Bristol to vew
Thinking about the £250 mark, or a bit more if it needed posting or you wanted me to leave the hope headset in.Posted 9 years agoMountainMonkeyMember
Nukeproof: I know what you mean – I can’t believe no one’s gone for it yet! It’s a beautiful frame and would be absolutely perfect for XC racing. If I were (considerably!) taller (and didn’t have a beautiful ti frame already myself), I’d bite his arm off for it! It really is a lovely frame in great nick and Tiboy is a top guy – you monkeys are really missing out on a bargain and a half!Posted 9 years agodruidhMember
I’ll back that up. I got one of the cheapo Chinese copies of a Lancaster and it’s just superb. I’ve used it with RC31s and 1.5" slicks for pootling, I’ve loaded it up with rack and panniers for multi-day Scottish wilderness trips and I’ve done SITS on it. It’s my "default" bike. And it’s Ti, so no corrosion issues.
It’s a steal.Posted 9 years ago
Thanks MM, think that people aren’t interested in a frame which isn’t cosmetically perfect, though this doesn’t make sense for a Ti frame that doesn’t require paint to protect it?! guess people are more interested in a shiny looking bike than one that ride well. Oh well, going to make me a bling commuter at this rate!Posted 9 years ago
