Anyone else? Wow that happened all of a sudden. Wednesday nothing. I walked out from the pain cave last night to see 10-12 quite large frogs on the patio where the pond used to be last year. They were all staring at me with what seemed to be glowing eyes.

I felt guilty for filling in the pond, but at the same time, fearing a slimy leap onto my uncovered (I was wearing bibs for a Turbo session) legs, edged slowly toward the back door with my back to the wall.

It’s that time of year I guess.

Yep, it’s that time of year again, when the suicidal frogs sit in the middle of the trails.
They were out on Tuesday night and again last night.
    Why do they do that?

Couple of years ago I went for a road ride after a mass frog migration. 3 hours of almost constant frog bits being sprayed up onto me. Had to hose bike + jacket down at a petrol station to minimise the stink

No frog expert, but I once read that frogs can multiply very quickly in the right environment, because the majority of frogspawn normally gets munched by predators. Remove the predators and you end up with thousands of frogs.

We have a tiny plastic pond at the bottom of our garden. Last week i counted 10 frogs in there. Last night Mrs feet said it looked like a proper orgy and the noise was slightly disturbing. 😯

We have a pond in the back garden and for the past few weeks there have been some proper dobbers hopping round. They’re pretty vocal at night and seem non stop, it’s like one big frog love in.

The frogs have done the biz, laid their eggs, tadpoles have hatched and are growing legs round here..

We drained our pond but didn’t fill it in till the following year. Cue some confused looking frogs sat in the hole wondering where the water had gone.

Pond in our garden is about 6ft across. I counted over 80 frogs in it last week. I like frogs, though.
