I got this from my wife….

……and this is cheating but but my Nicolai AC 29er frame arrived a few days before Christmas so I’m classing that as a Crimbo present to myself despite it being ordered back in August 🙂

After almost a month of waiting, my combined birthday/Xmas present turned up this afternoon.

Now just need the frame to fit it too…

*waits some more*

As with the last couple of years, all my gifts were donations to the local mountain rescue

I got a nice new 661 Recon Helmet to replace my old, tired, crashed-on Giro Xen

And a Tacx Trainer in hope of getting a bit more fitness and entering a few races this year.

Well chuffed, all round – christened the helmet yesterday, need to decide which bike to give over to the trainer – currently looking to be the under-used singlespeed road bike.

Hours of role play and monotonous fun 🙂

At least it was given as a novelty – having received a season ticket for SCCC from the bread-knife, nothing could spoil my day.

Only gave bike related presents this year, but received a a very happy and proud biking companion in return 🙂

(yes yes I know stabilisers, but I’ve already had 6 months of her flatly refusing to get on her balance bike as it ‘doesn’t have pedals like Daddies’ – anyone want to buy a like new pink Ridgeback Scoot?)
