My place is entering the cyle to work scheme so looking for something that can commute on thats available on that scheme,
Roadrat springs to mind but what else is about, simular, maybe lower cost, want flat bars, gears and disc brakes.

I got a Courier Nexus from Edinburgh Bike Coop through our scheme. Hub gears, slick tyres, but V-brakes. Discs may make it more of a target? Remember to include locks and mud guards and lights in your scheme budget.

I think the Revolution Couriers have taken a bit of a step back now, the old 700c models were lighter and faster. It seems like a cost-cutting move rather than a spec-led move. I love my Courier Race though, it does exactly what I want from a road bike at a reasonable price.
