    Possible numpty content

I have some shock bushes, the low friction type with the white polymer bushes, the central metal pin and the washers with o rings. These came of a shock that I bought as an upgrade for my bike but too wide so I was thinking of selling on as they have never been used-may be of use to someone but I need to sort out the size before offering them for sale.

I am trying to work out what dimension they are. The central pin is 21.70mm long, but when on the shock with the polymer bushes pushed right home and the washers/o rings pushed tight,it measures 21.48mm eg the pin sticks out very slightly.

The two standard sizes I can find are 21.54mm and 21.84 mm. The pin length would suggest the latter, the width between the washers suggest the former.

I guess the main question is, should the pin stick out beyond the bushes on this type of low friction setup e.g the pin is clamped in the suspension mount, or should it clamp across the washers like the old type with the alloy bushes.

    Any help gratefully received
