  • Fox hose clamp: Should there be movement?

Not had a Fox fork in years and the hose clamp on my new 34’s allows the hose to slide up and down as the fork compresses/extends rather than clamps like Rockshox. Is this by accident or design?

Is there a little rubber pad on the fork leg behind the clamp?

As stu says there should be a little rubber pad, this can be substituted for a felt pad used for furniture which can be trimmed, which is what I just did on my 34’s

No rubber pad, but I have some sticky backed rubber I could use.

it does seem odd that they design the movement in there rather than a solid hold, maybe it is to accommodate for Hope lines and the like?

Seems strange to me, anything with the potential to rattle is a no no in my book!
