I’ve got some Fox RL 130mm on my 08 Trek EX8. They came on the bike and have probably not been serviced…

They don’t feel like they need it but guessing that’s just plain wrong. My first question is, I’ve heard they can be made 140mm by taking away a spacer, true?

Should I go with Fox oil or will something other than that do?

Any experience of Enduro seals? Or the new Fox seals? I do use a mucky nutz so my seals aren’t bad but I may as well do them anyway.

My 2010 130’s had a 10 mm spacer, very easy to remove:

float rl service

In the section “Remove the 32 mm Air Spring”, the last picture shows the air spring with a spacer on top

Does the same apply to 2009 Float 140’s?
