    I had the same problem with mine. Opened the air chamber and this is what I removed. Replaced the foam ring with a new wiper seal and new fluid. Fork performance much improved and uses full travel.

    Wow… Thanks guys for all the above. I have exactly this problem, although I thought I was imagining it, or had done something fundamentally wrong servicing my forks. This is about the most useful thread on STW ever… 😀
