After a spill last week and going down hard, face first, I decided to change my helmet. There was no obvious damage to my Fox Flux, but I do believe that you should change them if have a hard impact.

Anyway, I bought a new one from CRC, listed as a Fox Flux 2013, and it arrived today. I’ve just noticed that the sticker inside the helmet says manufactured in 2011. Have I got an old helmet? Or is it the case that they just remarket the same helmets each year, and change the colours?

I would be more inclined to get in touch with CRC and get them to explain the position. Doesn’t sound right to me, I would want an answer from the retailer.

Is it deffo the 2013 colour scheme? They are different to the 2012 and earlier. I’d be surprised if Fox started making the 2013 range back in 2011 – I mean how many did they expect to sell?

Yeah,it’s Matt Black which I think is the 2013 colour scheme, unless that was an option in 2011 too?
