    Hi all,

Im going to give my Fox Float forks a bit of TLC and put in some fresh seals and oil. Ive found a service manual and the relevant oil levels but I just have one small query…

Should any old oil be cycled out of the damper cartridge prior to reassembly? Im guessing I should but just wanted to make sure…

Thanks in advance, any help is much appreciated.

yes, cycle the damper to remove all the oil.

I always give the insides of the legs a good squirt with degreaser and a thorough rinse to get all the old crap out the bottom (remove the bottom out thingys first).

Spot on, thanks for that. The manual does not mention it thats all.

Have a look on this thread, foxyrider posted a couple of good links – I’ve followed the Enduro fork seals one and it’s pretty good.

Yeah, if you pump it a few times the oil comes out. Hardest thing is pressing the seals in place all the way, requires some force. The rest is easy, I just followed the service manual on the fox website.
