- Fox Float 32 R forks losing air…. I can hear it coming out
You should be able to unscrew the whole valve assembly from the top cap with an 8mm(?) socket. Perhaps clean and grease the threads?Posted 4 years ago
Might be worth doing the same with the top cap itself and you can check to make sure there is some float fluid in the air chamber at the same time.
My 2010 Fox Float 32 140mm R forks are not holding air. In fact I can hear it coming out from the top of the left leg.
Have tried to tighten valve core but it didn’t stop the leak. However don’t think it’s from the inside of the valve as if I put my finger over the top I can still hear the leak. Maybe it’s from the outside where the valve goes into the top cap.
Any ideas? Fork is due a service anyway so thinking of sending it off to Mojo. Would do seals and oil myself but the air leak is a bit more worryingPosted 4 years ago
Tried to tighten the valve itself but don’t have a socket long enough to go over valve. Also don’t have a socket large enough to get top cap off
Is the £108 service from Mojo worth the money? Dust seals are £20, plus oil and they will also fit “new air piston and air piston seal”. Wondering what the parts and labour break down is….Posted 4 years agobigyinnMember
Try Loco Tuning (Simon). He’s on here a lot and is spoken of highly by many on here. His pricing is a little less than the big boys too.Posted 4 years ago
The air piston thing might be a warranty job, as there was an issue with oil migration from the lowers into the air chamber reducing travel in the process.
