I presume my brand new FOX 38’s are faulty

Openend the box when they arrived today to find a oily film all over the forks including the clear plastic bag they were in and some of the packaging has oil stains

Oil on the stanchions wouldn’t typically be a concern for me but that looks like quite a bit on the packaging

can’t imagine there’s much oil left in them. Were they mail order or shop? its either a new set or a service before you use them!

Spoke to Silverfish who say send them in for warranty

I said ill just order another pair from the same retailer then return these for a refund as im not messing about sending them to Silverfish to fix which will take over a week and will cost me money in postage

Have informed the retailer and asked for a pre paid returns label

Lets hope the ones arriving tomorrow are leak free!
