- Fork recommendation – straight steerer, 15mm maxle, 100-120mm travel?
hey STW hivemind,
I’m speccing up a build for my girlfriends first proper MTB
I’m looking at getting her the 14″ On one inbred frame and have a reasonable set of wheels to hand with a 15mm front hub and QR rear.Posted 4 years ago
That however creates a limiting factor as i’m now looking for a fork with straight steerer and 15mm axle. Any recommendations or deals out there on the <£200 end of the market?TurnerGuyMember
Merlin had some deals on Rebas with maxle and straight steerer, but a little over your budget – but surely she is worth it ?!?Posted 4 years ago
the Reba is a bit over budget at £300, but the Recon Gold TK is on for £200
my mate has just emailed me this as well
would i get stung with an import tax for that if i bought it from germany?Posted 4 years agocpSubscriber
you could just pop a universal 15mm -> QR adaptor through the hub such as this
which would open up your fork choice no end.Posted 4 years agoTurnerGuyMemberseftonSubscriber
I was thinking of selling these…but postage would kill it. I’d need £200Posted 4 years agoseftonSubscriber
