I know this may have been discussed before, but I've got a new spring for my Recon's and was going to change in at work tomoz.

Got the maintenance instructions off the website – question is do I need to remove the oil from the leg or can I just remove the spring and leave the oil in there? The instructions cover all types of recon fork.

Second question – if I do remove the oil – is fork oil a mineral oil? and if so does the oil I replace it with need to be specifically from Rockshox or can I use anything with the same viscosity rating? (we've lots of transformer oil around!)

remove the spring no need to change the oil just grease the new spring.
