In the kitchen / living room and our bedroom, we have little bugs flying around the lights and also tiny light grey ones lurking in the corners of our ceiling!

What are they? Gnats or fruit fly? Warm weather a factor?

Well judging by the expression “the size of a gnat’s bollock”, it would appear that gnats have exceptionally small testicles. I would therefore investigate the relative size of these little flying bug’s genitalia to provide a clue to their identification.

Could be a Gnat, colour might give you a clue; if they’re red or yellow, probably a Gnat:

if it goes after the bananana and not you then its probably a fruit fly.

The one on the banana is now dead, possible ambush from the rest!
No sweat for the vac though, the ones in the corners come back though…
