The EPS is completely shit for the UK btw, you’ve dodged a bullet. It’s lovely and warm when it’s dry and cold, but they used a proofed leather for the upper instead of a suitable weatherproof/waterproof, so the first splash goes straight through, and after that they’re cold. “Weather resistant” as ever in mountain biking means “might as well have holes in”. I can see they could be great in some climates though, but cold and dry’s something we don’t really do much.
If you really want a set and you’re a 9, let me know, I have some somewhere. They’re shit though.
The standard old Freerider Element is a far better winter shoe, though, it’s not actually good, it’s not not terrible. Sadly the GTX Guide Tennie has disappeared now except in weird sizes but it’s great, if clumpy. Even the standard non-GTX one is better than most winter flat shoes.
