If your putting them on a full Suss. i wouldn’t bother,
They will creek, ghost shift and generally do your nut in. I ran them for 7 months on my heckler. I never at any point managed to get my gears working 100% with them. I tried every thing. I reckon the outers are just too stiff, a friend had the same troubles on his Hustler.
In the end we binned them and went back to XTR, which have never missed a beat.Posted 9 years agocraig1975Member
I just felt that the outers didn’t flex enough when turning the handle bars or when the suspension was doing it’s thing!! They creaked like crazy, maybe that was to do with the ferrules and not the outers!? BTW i took me ages to narrow the creaking down to the ferrules. I tried greasing them which did work for a bit.
Then there was the nightmare when things got really muddy….
