It’s mild. Some folk I know have been doing a 4 weekly cut all winter. I’ve been holding off but customers demand and I’m full steam next week.

I have been thinking about if for weeks. Needed some brownie points between mornings of tennis and Calcutta Cup!!

Full shorts and t shirt weather too

Did mine today but wondering if there was any point. Lawn is so bumpy and full of dandelions and moss I am considering just nuking the whole thing from orbit.

Been up at the camper this morning filling it up with water and putting the bedding in for the start of the season. Shorts and tee shirt weather. Came back and given the lawns the first cut of the year. Always looks nicer when it’s neat and tidy.

I’m probably 400 miles north of you, no grass needs cutting here.

Ours have needed doing for weeks.

Braved the cat shit this afternoon, it’s like playing Battleship guessing where the next one will be.

I love spring and summer but I hate gardening.

I’ve done a few cuts, been avoiding it but they were for holiday rentals or houses being sold. I think in the next week i’ll be doing them as a routine.

Too wet to cut here. Long tufts of grass amongst the moss looks a bit odd.

Did mine today. Considering the effort I put in, it’s utterly shite. Garden is damp everywhere, grass grows ok in the summer but in the winter it all just rots away.

Replacing the fence with 50% fence to let some light and air in.

Did mine today and being doing customers for a couple of weeks. Makes me very happy that spring is definitely here and my job becomes enjoyable again.

Ordered new belts for the mower last week . Might think about cutting it when they get fitted

The ground is still way too damp with us – there’s a public track next to the garden that runs with water and is 500mm higher than the garden. The neighbour cut his lawns this week though.

Having grown up on a farm I love the smell of freshly cut grass.
