Lets discount bacon as well, as that’s a whole subject in its own right.

Whats your favourite sandwich then? On what bread? Given the choice of anything, what would you slam between your floury baps? Lets have it then you bunch of freaks? I don’t think there’s such a thing as a bad butty. I suspect I’m about to be proved wrong

    For me its

A little bit of bile involuntary slipped up my throat seeing that combo:)

I was going to post some pictures, but just discovered a whole site devoted to them

It’s all about the mayo though really.

I do like a sandwich made with thick slices proper home cooked ham. In fact that’s what I’m having for lunch today.

A decent extra mature cheddar topped with either slices from a nice & strong home grown onion or The Garlic Farm Vampires Delight Hot Apple Chutney, slammed between a couple of thick slices of my own homemade bread.

    Heaven in a butty. 😀

Cheese salad, not with hateful iceberg lettuce though, proper lettuce (maybe some nice mixed leaves from Waitrose 🙂 ), cucumber, tomato, maybe a bit of spring onion, dash of mayonnaise on nice granary bread. Simple, but delicious.

Black pudding and fried egg – would have bacon too if you hadn’t outlawed it.

Cream cheese and chopped dates. Just try it. Superb.

Bacon, brie and avacado or smoked ham, brie and redcurrant jelly.

Genius gluten free seeded bread lightly toasted so it doesn’t fall to bits, filled with goats cheese, roasted peppers and chilli jam – awesome!

    What he said.
However I would change the granary for a french baguette warm, fresh from the oven.

tinned tuna (steaks in oil please) roughly broken up, salad cream on top. A whole tin between two slices of white bread.

Fried Chorizo with an egg cooked in the red grease. +1 for proper bread, (white’s best for this sarnie) which probably means making it yourself.

Hot salt beef, gherkins and english mustard (salad optional).

…Does a burrito count as a sandwich? It’s pretty close. Steak burrito with lots of cheese, extra jallies and fresh chunky guacamole.

Had a particularly tasty combo of Spanish omelette, pickled beetroot and salad cream between a couple of thick slices of crusty bread. Was bloody lovely.

Warburtons white bread in the blue paper bag
    Salty butter
    Strong cheddar cheese

I have no idea why you’d need another recipe.
