Posted 4 years agoIf Clegg thinks you have to be in the EU to grow the economy / trade, he needs to take a sabbatical and spend some time in the likes of Singapore. He doesn’t seem to have a clue how business works and even less insight into how the majority of countries not in the EU do well despite not having this “competitive advantage”.

For example I can recognise a woman and I am not one.Is it a case of Clegg ignoring who is asking each question or does he just need glasses?

Ok not as embarrassing as Sturgeon v Lamont but not that far off.
Clegg looks like the lost man of UK politics and Farage “wins” by shouting easily digestible rubbish louder. There’s a wee man who would be very proud.

I did not hear any shouting at all? Is that how you describe as shouting? All I noticed was Clegg’s constant interruption when Farage was talking. Clegg has no manner.

Posted 4 years agoI really can’t understand why Clegg would agree to this. All Farage does is come up with and constantly repeat negative sound bites on a narrow subject, that is basically his life. It is like challenging the Jehovah witnesses on your doorstep, they have trained and prepared for all the possible arguments while you have been doing as thousand other things.

It’s the other way round – it was Clegg’s idea and Farage agreed to do it.
Clegg has to do something – there’s local/EU elections coming up and the LibDems are going to get hammered. I guess he has fond memories of Cleggmania after the TV debates which preceded the last general election. Although it did little to boost support for the LibDems and they polled about the same as they had in the previous general election when they were led by Charles Kennedy. And this was despite a fall in support for Labour after 13 years in power and little confidence by the electorate in the Tories. The geezer is a natural born loser.
I didn’t bother watching it……they represent two people which I have no time for.

Posted 4 years agoWhat would happen if we redefined countries as groups of people who share the same ideals, rather than groups of people who happened to be born in the same place?
Farage can have all the little englanders to create their own backwards paradise with no foreign people, no equal rights for women or gay people, no cycling allowed, no NHS, double the size of the army, no ugly windfarms (to be replaced by coal), virtually no welfare system, no belief in man-made climate change (even Daily Mail and Telegraph now agree on that ) and all of the wealth in the hands of the top 0.0001%.
i’d check all this by reading their policies, but they’ve deleted them off their website, replaced by a list of populist “issues”.
I think i might emigrate to Europe.
