Just wondering how others set up their shock. I have a Fox Triad, which i believe is basically an RP2, rebranded for Specialized. Tinternet suggests the shock stroke is 45mm which is give or take 1 mm the length of the shaft.

Ignoring the fact I seem to have to add 20psi more than normal since getting it back from MOJO, a 25% sag never gets the O ring anywhere near the bottom of the shaft regardless as to how gnarr my riding is. To get full travel I have to set sag at 30% plus, which has pro’s and con’s.

So, is this normal on these shocks? Do you set sag based on how you ride and how the bike feels, rather than worrying about specific recommended sag or using the full stroke?

RP3 in the past and RP23 now.

Run 30% sag and stiffen up with some propedal. 30% on my forks too.
