fact about cars
as a rule of thumb…….
The WORST driven cars, are driven by people wearing HATS
Chavs in Caps
Old rover drivers in flat caps
BMW and Audi drivers in “beanies”
women in rangerovers towing horses wearing caps
What hatt do you have to wear to “lunch” when driving a convertible?Posted 9 years agojulianwilsonMember
Fact: Mitsubishi were into horses in the 80’s and brought out the ‘colt’. They then designed a front engined sports coupé and thought it should be like a bigger more powerful horse. A bad phone line between australian and japanese reps got the new car heralded in press releases as the “Starion”. By the time they realised it was too late to change it.
btw the official line is that the name is a contraction of “star of orion” but i like the first story the best.Posted 9 years agojulianwilsonMember
Oh sorry it wandered off a bit there. Also I think the real starion doesn’t have octagonal wheels but it really is that angular.
And yes I know 2 drivers of new mini convertibles (both yellow -wtf?) and they both lunch. One is 36 and the other will admit to being somewhere ‘around’ forty.Posted 9 years ago
Personally I see no link between cars and how they’re driven – I see equal numbers of idiots in all types, though usually the little smarts are the ones that get upset when you overtake them while they’re feeling vulnerable doing more than 30mph in 60 zones, usually its BMWs that try to drive over you and corsas that you see doing the most dangerous moves around town.Posted 9 years agomboySubscriber
That story about the Mitsubishi Starion is funny. Have heard it before actually, got to say it does sound pretty plausible.
Worst driven cars I think depends on where you are at the time. If you’re on the motorway, it’s ALWAYS a rep in an Audi A4. If you’re on the country roads round where I live, it’s a Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla, driven by a coffin dodger at 1/2 the speed limit yet without managing to see any hazards! If you’re in London, no matter how bad everybody drives down there, it’s bus drivers predominantly. If you’re in Coventry (nay, “Chaventry”) it’s the scrotes in Corsas and old Escorts.
Or if it’s 8:30am ANYWHERE in the country, it’s the millions of Yummy Mums that only ever drive a car (always WAY too big, usually a 4×4) around the country taking the little ones to school cos they’re too precious to catch the bus 😉Posted 9 years agoloddrikMember
The civic type r, driven by tits who want to race everything, which is a shame because aside from the idiots who drivevthem they aren’t too bad, though not fast and certainly not as fast as the owners think they are.
If proof were needed, there are probably three times as many civic type r’s being sold as cat d than any other carPosted 9 years agoBigButSlimmerBlokeMember
anything i’m driving.
especially when i’ve been drinking, taking drugs or am am eating a big mac, yakking on the phone or getting a blow job.
BUT, when all the above are true, i am a driving god.Posted 9 years ago

My fab five of badly driven vehicles.
5. Range Rovers driven by mothers on the school run.
4. Buses driven by, er bus drivers.
3. Minicabs by whoever.
2. Mercedes drivers in general.
1. Mercedes mini cabs.
honourable mention goes to lorry drivers and scooter riders.Posted 9 years agomikewsmithSubscriber
x-5/ disco etc parked across 3 spaces by mother at supermarket
5 series inspecting the type of screws used to hold your number plate on at 80mph
Any car that has the sat nav stuck in the middle of the windscreen
As above but then cant change lanes on the motorway because the sat nav hasn’t spoken
Anywhere within 1mile of a school at start or finish time sometimes it resembles 24 where the 4×4 pulls up on the steps and bundles poor kiddie in before they have to take more than 2 steps
and when i get my rocket launchers fitted……..Posted 9 years agoMargeMember
I have to commute through 30+ miles of traffic on the highway to & from work on my motorbike and whilst most drivers are quite considerate there are always some drivers who cause an unecessary hinderance (be it through ignorance or a deliberate manoeuvre)
After a few years of this it is clear there are vehicles that more typically involved:
1) 5 series BMW
2) Renault Espace
3) Any tradesman van (Transit / Sprinter)
But I can also accept the OP issue with the Mini driving ladies who lunch – we have plenty of them near where I live & indeed crap parking / u-turns / yapping on the GSM all seem far to frequent 🙁Posted 9 years agoretro83Member
gotta go with school run mothers/fathers. Darling cherub cannot be allowed to walk more than 10 yards to the school gate so obviously just plonk your car whereever is closest to the school without indicating or caring that you’re blocking a junction or somebodies driveway ARGHGH then after they’ve got out just pull out into the traffic without bothing to look.
