Anyone use this for selling non-bikey items?
Occasionaly use the local versions on facebook, most well priced stuff dissaperes in minutes/hours, anything overpriced never sells, the market is 2 clicks away from googling what it’s worth or checking ebay, so you won’t get more for it than there.
Wouldn’t trust random peeps. They will come back and help themselves. FB is a easy way to track when people go out or on holiday
As above, how exactly would they figure out when you’re on holliday. Tick the little privacy boxes and all you can see is your name and a photo. It’s about as private as walking down the highstreet with my work ID still round my neck. You’d have an easier time on STW finding more info.
And “random peeps” could just wlak past my house and decide to help themselves. The fact I’ve sold them something isn’t going to change that. It’s not like I go round giving them a tour pointing out the jewlery boxes.
We also use freecycle a lot, yes there’s no money changing hands, but we tend to get as much stuff as we give away (recently set of kitchen units and worktop for the garrage and a garden shredder).
