Is anyone riding an Evil Insurgent? I’d be interested to hear your views as I’m thinking of getting one for an upcoming trip.

Does it works as an all round trail bike. Too much? etc…

Rode one a fair bit last year including some all day pedal abouts. Great bike and if you want something that will soak up anything you throw at it then its brilliant. Pedalled ok but wont win any uphill races.

I haven’t ridden the insurgent but I have an uprising with a very similar linkage and travel and it rocks. It climbs very well, loads of grip, and descends even better. Only thing I’d wish for is a longer top tube which I think the insurgent has.
If I had to replace it now, I’d probably opt for a calling, just because I prefer a bike which feels like I’m on the ragged edge and I rarely get near that on the uprising, its too damn composed.
