My local paper (at the time the Harborough Mail) ran a UFO sighting headline, with bright lights in the night sky spotted over the countryside a few miles out io Harborough

I absolutly cannot confirm that it was actually a Cessna 152 rented from Leicester aero club on a lovely night for the purpose of playing dam busters on eyebrook resevoir and then doing a stupidly low pass over hus bos gliding club with the landing lights on which is when the sighting happened.
It also wasn’t me in the right hand seat with my old man at the controls at the time.

Still makes me chuckle, almost 20yrs later!
