Perhaps if PW Botha’s South Africa had taken part in Eurovision a bit of glittery pop would have disguised their apartheid too?

I hope somewhere less controversial wins this time, it’s been a while since we’ve done a Eurovision European city break. Saw the semis in Dusseldorf and Malmo, it were brill 🙂

Anyone else watching? Malta catchy, but Albania a bit of a dirge & has already run out of lyrics.

I actually didn’t hate albania….. had an evanescence feel to it? But Czech republic…. oh sweet lord that was so bad.

Lost interest when Romania failed to qualify.

Loved the German entry, they couldn’t sing for toffee but it was a good song.

Was odd – singer affected a bit of a geezer accent and felt a bit Johnny hates Jazz.

Nice staging for the Russian entry, but the song quite forgettable.

Russia was very good, great vice, and not bad song.
