  • European breakdown cover for older cars?

    Hi all,

Looking for European breakd down cover –
    – 21 year old Mazda MX5
    – For about 35 days
    – No spare tyre (just tyre weld and compressor)
    – To cover returning car to UK if necessary.

Any recommendations? Usual companies, Green Flag etc don’t like cars older than 16 years, especially in Europe.

    Thanks,
    Duane.

Britannia Rescue. I got cover for a 25 year old car with no problems.

We struggled with our van. Couldn’t find a single breakdown company that would do it. In the end got our insurance with Adrian flux which had euro breakdown cover. Not quite the cheapest but total price was comparable to cheap insurance and separate breakdown

ADAC (the german AA) covered old cars last time I used them (20+ yr old Golf GTI).

They use the AA for coverage in the UK.

ADAC – all the feed back i read about them is that they are happy to take money but not that good at actually helping non german speakers….

has anyone actually used them for recovery ?
