My father sadly passed away on Monday after battling stomach cancer since August last year. We are now in the process of trying to arrange the funeral and order of service and i’d like to do a eulogy, but haven’t got a clue where to start, or even if i’ll be able stand there and present it on the day!

Anyone got any pointers or advise?

Say it from the heart and nothing else matters
Celebrate his life, celebrate the love he gave to you all,a few jokey light hearted moments/stories/incidents to show his charachter

Dont wory about holding it together I doubt you will be the only one in tears

    Sorry for your loss.

I had to do this for my Dad. I spoke to a few people and basically came up with a potted history of his life. I threw in a couple of amusing tales too. I thought I wouldn’t be able to go through with it but on the day I felt remarkably calm. Having the eulogy to concentrate on kind of helped me hold it together somehow. Speak to family and friends to get some help. And, good luck.

Sorry to hear that Paul, a difficult time for you and your family.

The previous posters’ advice seems sound.
