unfortunately the rumours are true – Esher Shore Bike Park in South-East England is set to close for good on 1st September 2010

the last day for riding is Monday 30th August 2010

rising insurance costs and falling rider attendance means this not-for-profit facility can no longer meet its running costs, and the difficult decision has been made to pull the plug!

thats a shame, sounds like bureaucracy, red tape and H&S have managed to spoil things for everyone, why on earth was the pump track closed? planning? its a shame, hopefully it'll rise again 🙂 well done on all your hard work Rob

Terrible news. As a member up at Herts, we get a lot of the Surrey boys from Esher coming up. Very sad to hear its closing. Hope one day you guys manage to get a new venue and get back on the wood.

Sad news, was never a massive fan of the place but could see why it would appeal to people, particularly kids wanting to develop their skills.
Hope you can put your efforts into something similar somewhere else Rob, but I've no doubt it's been a ballache…
