Noticed after driving to the Lakes and paying for the car park. Posted 8 years ago rockthreegozySubscriber No chain? Posted 8 years ago crispy baconMember 'err no chain by chance ? 😆 Posted 8 years ago allthepiesMember Front and rear rim mismatch, see what you mean. FAIL. Posted 8 years ago SmeeMember Haha. Serves you right for driving a beemer. Posted 8 years ago sc-xcMember trousers and shorts! Posted 8 years ago tontoMember I've done that at Penmachno, luckily it was only a short drive to bets y coed to buy a chain 🙂 Posted 8 years ago tonSubscriber you must have been near wheelbase?? and johnnie……….you slack arse………. 😉 Posted 8 years ago Gary_MMember Pretty high failure rate in the fashion department. Posted 8 years ago jamesMember "trousers and shorts! " Are they not very badly fitting tights? Posted 8 years ago loweySubscriber Lol.. keep em coming lads… berate the slack b'stard! Goan, not my car mate. I have taste. Posted 8 years ago barrykellettMember Fail at taking photos?! Posted 8 years ago mickasakiMember Shoe laces are poorly tied Posted 8 years ago steviousMember Your saddle's on wonky. Posted 8 years ago joemetcalfmMember you set yourself up there. take em on the chin. Posted 8 years ago jediMember rear gear Posted 8 years ago DeeJayMember You mean he does'nt carry a spare chain – shoddy 😉 Did you manage any riding? Posted 8 years ago MoleMember Bike upside down. Posted 8 years ago loweySubscriber Did you manage any riding? After parking up at Patterdale, he smugly emerged from the car with some lube. Only then did he realise he hadn't got a chain! We headed back over Kirkstone to Biketreks, bought a chain by which time it was too late to try and get back to do high street, so we had a cracking ride around Grizedale, so the day wasn't wasted. Posted 8 years ago loweySubscriber I have to say that it ranks right up there with the best "what essential bit of kit did you leave at home" stories. Biketreks said it was a first also. Posted 8 years ago radoggairMember water bottle cage?, continental tyres, and oops, your top tube look very bent 😆 Posted 8 years ago DracSubscriber Crud Catcher, huge fail. Posted 8 years ago GaVgAsMember High street!!…In november…have you gone mad 🙄 Posted 8 years ago simonralli2Member Kids on balance bikes seem to be fine without chains and look how young they are. And surely it wasn't that cold today? Posted 8 years ago JunkyardMember 😳 for the fashinista amongst you they are actually Ron Hills, shorts are waterproof, rest is non riding gear. My wheels do match they are both 26" Yes what a dumb b@stard but given weather conditions probably a good thing we failed on high street. Sorry Dave …you know the rules can never mention it to me again now you have shamed me 😉 Posted 8 years ago willMember Posted 8 years ago stuartlangwilsonSubscriber I've seen a friend forget their non drive side crank arm, and another was most upset to open his van to discover he had left his bike at home. Posted 8 years ago loweySubscriber High street!!…In November…have you gone mad I'm from Bolton. Balls deep bog is bread and butter to us. 😆 Grizedale was a cracking ride though. They have done a nice job with the new cafe… looks proper posh. Was Dying to have a ride over the timber kiddies climbing frame thing in the garden next to the cafe, but would probably have been kicked out. Posted 8 years ago grummMember Yeah I think you had a lucky escape from doing High Street tbh – I did it after a week or so of sunny dry weather and it was still fairly boggy in places. Posted 8 years ago D0NKSubscriber Jonny setting new standards for pre-ride faffage, whoops! BTW are the ones berating crud guards and short/tights combo the same ones who only talk about riding during winter? I'm afraid I've got to agree with the unfashionable* statment tho. *I have just purchased some waterproof shorts to go over longs on those upcoming really nasty days, fashionable vs warm is a no brainer 🙂 Posted 8 years ago genesisMember tonto, its BETWS y Coed.
