If someone is made redundant, how long is it before another person can be employed to fill the same role?

Boring question I know but an answer will be very helpful.

IIRC it’s 6 months

6 months if it’s a new employee but they can give the responsibilities of the role to another staff member provided they don’t get the same title.

It’s the position that is made redundant not the person, although the effect is the same.
