Have started wearing elbow pads for DH and for the days I’m trying to do stupid things on the Red runs or doing a bit of jumping/cornering practice.

Problem is my pads will not fit under my XC jerseys or my softshell. Anyone got any advice on whether they will fit under a DH jersey? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question.

    Thinking about something like this:

If you have any recommendations for what to get then I’m happy to hear them. The Troy Lee ones look beautiful, but I’m not a good enough rider to wear a tiger on my shirt!

DH jerseys have a looser fit. I’ve a POC one which is great but dear. No loud logo (which is my taste too).

Or fro pads there is this Subgear top again:

Where them on top of your xc jersey then your jersey won’t get torn when you come off.

Cheers. Not really looking for a base layer type thing to be honest. Will keep it in mind though.

@Liftman The problem is getting the softshell on over them. The sleeves on long sleeve XC jerseys ride up when I put the pads on, so not an option for me unfortunately.

    Short sleeved jersey?

That’s what I do at the moment, but want a little more protection and a bit more warmth.

You don’t always need to go for the downhill stuff. Look at Dakine, Sombrio or Oakley…even the none D/H gear always has baggy sleeves.

    Ok. Cheers.
