I noticed a Gas Gas EC 300 on Ebay the other day with no reserve.
2012 model, looked mint in pictures, in Sheffield apparently. Worth about £4000.
Threw in a bid of £3000 knowing there’s no way I’d win it.
Auction ended at £3100, thought some lucky bugger had got a bargain, the seller must be gutted.
Next day I got a second chance offer on it at £3000, seller saying buyer had messed him around.
Seller types very good English, but the giveaway was the bit about regular oil changes – it’s a 2 stroke, doesn’t hold engine oil (ignoring the gearbox oil). He wants me to pay into an “Ebay” protection scheme where they hold my money until I collect the bike. His email address changes quite frequently too.

So be careful out there, Ebay don’t do Escrow type services.

I’m having a bit of email fun with him, going to ask him to send a photo of the bike with his tallywacker up the exhaust pipe.
