B n b 15 miles from mach closest I could find so not really that local. More local than me anyway coming all the way from Kent!

How’s your sense of humour on long fireroad climbs…

Just dandy pal. Fire road climbs bore me. Im used to proper steep climbs not boring long fire roads they pants. Live on the north downs so not much altitude 644ft highest point. Its getting up em. Some are real steep and very technical. Fire roads are pieice of piss no matter how long. Come try some local climbs round here thats proper climbing. Not so long but oh so steep. On wet chalk. Love em!

I think last year it took me 1hour to get from the start line to the queue at the top of the first singletrack decent.
Many 1hr climbs in Kent?
and gulleys filled with roof slates , wet roof slates.

Yep. Not for the ups but the downs. Nothing round here comes close to the altitude down there. Just no big descents locally. Lake garda next week 🙂 be some descending there I know. 2000mts down to 65mts. Yes please

I only enter the dyfi for the long fire road climbs 🙂 might have a few pints swell!

No hardly any one hour climbs unfortunately. 25 mins from river level to the highest point @644 ft Big long climbs i would love to have local just not the case around here. Short sharp and testing. If you can climb the hard ones round here your climb anything.

Oh im sure im gonna love it. Last time I rode in wales was in the old slate quarry in Llanberis. Went down there to climb Snowdon done it three times already but when we got there still snow at top so rode the local quarry was a blast

I really hope you enjoy it but just try and relax a little.
It’s a great event once you get over all the people that blow up on the first climb/ push down the first descent.
To me and most multi entrants that i know it seems to be about a great weekend away that has a ride attached to it.
