Gonna be around £1000 for me to enter considering entry fee, train, accommodation, two days off work, yet still want to do it.
Plus having to buy a Garmin that lasts more than half a day…
The adventure and experience though; Mrs says it’s too much, I’m still deliberating

A grand to an event in the UK?? How far are you having to travel?

At that amount I’d put the money towards going abroad

I was considering it, but can’t really justify the time off and the expense.

Return trains from London are about £150 to Glasgow, then however much from Glasgow to Dunoon.

If you can find a mate, it’ll probably be cheaper to share driving costs. If you can find a couple of mates you might be able to group-save.

it’s not really a £1000 to enter though – that includes lost earnings which would apply to any event
