It’s on a Trek Fuel EX9 – it has a pawl freehub (not star ratchet)

Do I need to remove the ratchet ring to get the drive side bearing out? doesn’t seem to want to shift with the ring in place. If so, presumably there is a special tool?

    thanks

I’ve done E1700 and E1900 bearing changes (both pawl) without any special tools

As above 370 3 pawl hub zero special tools.

Couple of sockets, few blocks of wood, rubber mallet and a small vice. Punch for getting out the bearings.

No need to remove the ring
    Hear hub with boiling water
    Freeze bearings
    Press bearing in

Tried doing that to my Roval rear wheel today which I think has DT Swiss 360 internals and I can’t see how you’d do it without the tool. I’ve just ordered one from ebay for £18 so we’ll see how it goes when it arrives.

Do you have a press or a drift? Press makes it super easy
