Just to buck the trend….. Shot whilst zooming in from 20mm to 10mm on a long exposure and a spot of narrow flash.

Apologies for subject matter and for being a cleverd1ck. Sigma 10-20

    Used Photomatix Pro version 3.1.3

The end result images are the same size as the original images (my images on Flicker are not full res). I’ll confess that those HDRs abaove as a bit fuzzy when you zoom right in because I took the 3 images for each on continual shooting mode without a tripod (if you’ve been up there, you’ll know why you can’t use a tripod – not much space!). Used the align mode in Photomatix to match up the three everso slightly different images and it’s done a reasonable job, but results in teh loss of sharpness.

I plan to do more HDRs, but will be using my tripod to get sharper shots. I like the effect for certain situations.

GF, You should stop putting those clumpy black lines round your pics, they make a nice pic look hideous.

Psychle, I’ve been on Seb’s course too. Here’s a couple more pics of Mike, taken with his 10-20 that he kindly loaned me. It never moved off 10mm all day, wish I could afford one!

i think i’m missing something about this..

Is the idea that you take at least three identically composed photos, but expose one for highlights, one the mid and one the shadow, then merge the three “layers”, if so could you do that on continuous shoot mode?

I’ve been using a single master image and a plug in for aperture ‘viveza’.

    viveza

It seems to create a layer for every set of alterations i make, so i’m ending up with 30mb images.

SFB recommended ptgui for panorama’s and it’s the easiest out of a few i tried.
