  • Double chainring compatibility with triple chainset crank arms?

So I’ve bought one of the new Deore 24-38 10 speed double chainsets.

However, I have an XT crank running as a single, but was originally a triple.

With them being the same bolt centres, would there be anything to stop me using the XT crank arms with the chainrings off the Deore?

Or could there be possible issues with chainline etc?

Nope, that’ll be fine. I did just that before I went 1*10.

Nope fine as long as BCD [ where the holes are basically for the rings]is the same and it is for those

I’ve been told not to take 1×10 on holiday, so thats what I’ll do then, thanks!
