Not long ago, a raid took place on the other side of the Alps. This time, it’s the other side … Pyrenees we just witnessed a police raid. It has they investigate the region of Madrid, Andalusia and Eastern Spain. The operation to dismantle a network of trafficking of doping substances and counterfeit medicines has led to the arrest of 26 people. Of these 26 persons, the police statement means that there is such a leader of cycling team but also 7 British.

Police shall also have entered “700,000 units of illegal pharmaceuticals and 10,000 vials of growth hormone” in the operation to dismantle “the largest international organization acting in Spain for trafficking illegal drugs, growth hormone and substances doping. ” Just that.

And it seems that the professional world is affected: “The CEO of a famous cycling team that counts in its ranks former world champions and Europe has been arrested when they received a significant amount of epoetin alfa , a known substance called EPO sdous “the statement said.

Sounds good to me, if cheats get caught. Might be better still if they got banned for life from any part in the sport, coach, manager, commentator, whatever.
