Any ideas?
Dog is almost 3, he’s never had a chewing problem before, all ways had toys and fake bone type chews he seems happy with.
Don’t think it’s anxiety as the cats and the Mr’s were in the house at the time, she heard him knawing and assumed it was one of his bone toys but it turned out he was chewing the other side of the coffee table, which is made from painted wood.
He’s a calm well adjusted dog and has never chewed up anything before apart from his chew toys.
Any ideas?
This is the culprit…
Dental problem maybe? I’m at a bit of a loss, the wood is a bit softer than his normal chews but he has a soft rabbit Teddy he chews too.
If you catch him doing it then chastise him with lots of “No” and his name, but you could smear some vaporub on where he’s chewing. Most dogs don’t like the taste of it, or you could go to a pet shop and pay lots more for a stop chewing spray.
