…’cos I’m buggered if I can find one anywhere.

    It makes me sad.

no but I can show you pictures of my lovely medium with DUC 32’s on it and tell you what a lovely ride it is, if that’s any help 😀

I know where there’s a NOS ss one (it’s a med or possibly small though).

Got to be a large. Medium won’t be big enough, and unfortunately the SS one is a hardtail and therefore out.

    (sigh)

Trek have sold out of lots and lots of bikes – some for the whole of 2012.

    Idiots.

you should reward trek’s inability to supply the product with a refusal to buy it

Yup, they’re no longer made, but I think they remain popular with owners and therefore don’t come up very often.

I like to think they have a certain ‘chier chien’ about them…

get a normal Top Fuel 26er (under £100 probably) and put a reverse angleset (-1.5 for 1 1/18) in it? i haven’t done the math to tell you what that’d do to geometry. the normal 26er is pretty steep at around 70deg, not sure what 69er was specced at.

Already thought about that – using some G2 spec forks. But the headtube is 1.125 throughout, so an Angleset won’t work.

yes it will, i have one. -1 from a UK company (Works) or -1.5 from a guy in Israel. he can to -1.7 but prefers not to as weaker. need to dig out link.
