Some bloke contacted me on pinkbike wanting to buy my SC Nomad. He was willing to pay full price (inc fee’s)but only via Paypal. I know this sounds fine but I dont think he’s from the UK and he wants to send a “agent” to pick up the bike.
This is his last email to me

about the item until they get delivered to him, i can only pay through
paypal as i dont have access to my bank account online as i dont have

with the payment and after the payment has been done, i have a pick
up agent that will come around to pick the item up after i have made
the payments for the item…….Greetings

except paypal will take the money back when they find it was paid for with non-existent funds…

Ask him what ship he’s on.
Then tell him you’re on the same ship, and you’d like to meet up for coffee….

If it were me and my bike, I’d sail away from the deal….

I sometimes sell stuff on gumtree and get these emails all the time. Just reply with a daft question, ‘Can you read braille?’. I never seem to get a reply.

We have the misfortune to sell Quad bikes and receive at least 25 of these emails a week, always reply send your agent with the cash and we’ll give a 10 percent discount. Nobody appeared yet.
