- Doctortrackworld : Adams apple feels swollen/throat restricted ?
10 days to see a GP! Is that normal where you are?
Utterly ridiculous, isn’t it?
Last time I rang to make an appointment (persistent cough after a dose of man-flu), the receptionist asked if it was an emergency. Being in one of those moods, I said that I didn’t know and that was why I wanted to see a doctor!
She said four days, I said I could be dead by then for all I know. So I got an appointment that afternoon.Posted 4 years agobigyinnMember
It used to really annoy me that our surgery won’t allow you to make an appt in advance for something non-urgent. You had to phone on the day (after 08:20) to try and get an appointment that day.Posted 4 years ago
The only problem was I would be at work by then and it was an hours journey away! Useless!
I’m suffering for the last few months with on-off symptoms of feeling like i almost have swallowed a cow (before you ask, no, i’ve not swallowed a cow).
It’s like something is ‘stuck’ by my adams apple and a sense of feeling sick. It comes and goes without any real logic i can pinpoint. Sometimes like today when it’s quite bad i get a shortness of breath during exercise and a higher heart rate than usual to maintain exercise rate/speed/etc.
apart from the obvious answer of bad aids… any other ideas ?Posted 4 years agoSuiMember
oddly enough i’ve experienced those symptoms, but narrowed it down to drinking 1 type of coffee.. Harrogates.. i was experimenting with different supermarket coffees, and on cue everytime i tried a Harrogat coffee my throat felt like it was trying to swallow but couldn’t..
edit: Taylors of Harrogate!Posted 4 years agodjgloverMember
