    I don’t get how so many people service their own forks! The thought of dismantling them horrifies me, I just KNOW it would go horribly wrong.

    I once spent probably 30 minutes trying to lift the caps around the stantions to re oil the O rings, and couldn’t get them up at all. That is what I mean, every stage would be an absolute impossibility!

    Taking the lowers off and changing the oil is not tricky

    just about to get a seal kit for my U-turn revs (ebay one). How often do people change the wiper seals? How do you tell when you need to?

    IMO only if they are leaking – otherwise leave ’em alone

    No, I’m shit with anything fiddly or techy (only just got the hang of bleeding avid brakes) so its best to let the professionals do it.

    Bleeding brakes (well) is waaaay harder than a lower leg service on most forks…
