Posted 5 years agoYou don’t own a five, it owns you…
Posted 5 years agoYes and sometimes I ride it at Surrey Hills. However, I don’t have own an Audi or a poncy coffee machine.
Posted 5 years agoHad the Orange 5 AM from 2008
Posted 5 years ago
couldn’t find another versatile bike
so I had Orange spray the frame 😉I’ve got 5 Oranges, 3 apples and a mango.
Posted 5 years agoI would like an apple orange -tis a nice green
Posted 5 years agoI thought about getting one for winter fun but I bought an ice hockey stick instead 😉
Posted 5 years agoDo they sell orange5 to non audi owners? (With a roof rack 🙄 )
Posted 5 years agoI don’t and none of my riding buddies do either.
One has some old oddball patriot with different travel and geometry apparently, which makes it more like a burly 5, but it’s not a 5.
Only know one chap who drives an Audi, but he’s got a specialized.
Posted 5 years agoThat chap needs to part exchange his specialized to an orange 5 😛
Posted 5 years agoUsed too, don’t now my mate does though.
Posted 5 years agoGuilty as charged here: 09 Five and an A4 Estate…and I ride in the Surrey Hills. Sorry. 😳
Posted 5 years agoDitto lenhankie, Orange 5 (08 model), A4 Avant, used to live in Surrey. However not in IT so I don’t qualify for the full stereotype.
Posted 5 years agoI’ve had 5 oranges….none of them were 5’s.

You could redeem yourself as long as you don’t have a Gaggia
Posted 5 years agoYep and I love it. I also don’t own an Audi. Time to go and ride it. See ya
Posted 5 years agoInteresting brake lever positions…… And shorten those hoses? You trying to snare wild animals?
Posted 5 years agoYeah, nowt wrong with those lever positions.
Works for me too. Although it was Jedi who sold me the idea.
Posted 5 years agoNope. But I’ve got a Gaggia and an Inbred.
Posted 5 years agoHappy to confirm I don’t work in IT or own a Gaggia. 🙂
Posted 5 years agoNope heckler and 456. Once owned Audi bit it was 10 years old
Posted 5 years agoI do, a 2009 in Mandarin Orange (also have a Soul). Don’t ride in Surrey Hills much these days, but Swinley yes.
No Audi (used to have an S3) but I do have an old 3 series
estatetouring. No fancy coffee machine, but I do have one of those stove top percolator jobbies that I bought when I worked in Spain 13 years ago.
I do work in IT.
Am I cool or am I a tool?
Posted 5 years agoOrange Five for me and the Missus (amongst other bikes), Merc estate, DeLonghi coffee machine, ride/live in the Surrey hills but I don’t work in IT. Damn just missed the STW stereotype – must work harder on that for 2013!
Posted 5 years agoOrange 5 yep, and patriot.
Gaggia coffee machine still warm
Job in IT
No Audi tho, Passat insteadBikes are all 6 years old tho 🙂
Posted 5 years agoYep but none of the other stuff
Posted 5 years agoSubaru driving, tea drinking university employee and my Five is from 2006, but it’s a start 🙂
Posted 5 years ago
I own a 5 but drive a Passat (which is close to a Naudi) No coffee machine & I know nowt about I.T. I ride mainly Yorkshire Dales, Moors, Lakes, Scotland. I’ve had it 3 years & it’s been to one trail centre.
Posted 5 years agoSo, does anyone meet all four stereotypes? ( Five, Audi, Gaggia and career in IT)
Posted 5 years agoJust the Audi, Gaggia and IT here. Does an Anthem get close to a stereotype?
Posted 5 years agoRight do Sub 5 ‘s count?
If so I’m living the dream.
Audi – yep
Rancilio coffee machine – yep (chi chi beans from niche roaster also)
Job involves company IT in a BOFH capacity.
Sub 5 from 2003
Missing rides in the Surrey Hills.Close.

C5 estate (citroen)
Instant coffee (can’t stand coffee snobs)
oil industry tech
ride Scotland mainly (keep yer Surrey hills and IT jobs)So we found the orange posterboy.. “Sandwich ” it is :P… Can you post photo please..
As for the rest .. You need to partexchange car to audi, posh coffee machine.. Ditch your current job and find IT related job in jobcentre. 😛
@beej .. Sorry mate, you need to partexchange your anthem with this guy.. http://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/1248151/

He probably sold his audi car, switch drinking tea and bored with his IT job.. Hence selling his orange5 🙄Five – check (2012 custom jobbie, 1×9, 150mm Revs, Maxle rear end, Reverb etc – all standard IT bod spec)
IT worker – check
Gaggia – no, Krups. And I don;t particularly like coffee anyway. Cup of tea please.
Audi – no. I do own a VAG estate though. So nearly there. I’ve fancied trying a Five for a long time – after all, that much hype can’t be wrong. The 2011 (?) model with the slacker angles and dropper post compatible seat tube pretty much made my mind up I had to try one so got a ridden 4 times 2012 frame only for a good price and bunged all my parts on from my beloved Blur 4X. In the short time I’ve had it, the Five is much the better bike and I flippin loved that Blur.
Plus I need to own a Five – its compulsory for people living within a mile radius of the factory.
Posted 5 years agoPoster “boy” may not pass trades descriptions. 🙂
