DJ Frames – What's the difference?

I’ve been looking at the cheap DJ frames on CRC – NS, Spank, Octane.
They all seem to be pretty much the same. I understand the difference between 24 and 26″ and between alu & 4130 but geometry seems pretty standard. Am I going to notice any difference on the pump track?(My motto is never jump off or over anything higher than my head).

Yet they’re all slightly different and definitely ride differently.

If you’ve not got any already known preferences or haven’t been able to borrow any then it’s probably hard to buy a bad one from a big brand. Typically higher BB’s are better on jump bikes as it means when you manual the effective chainstay gets shorter rather than longer.

ns have some frames, marked “DIrt” or “PArk” , the dirt one is longer but not by much, canyons’ dirt frame is longer than both of them, santa cruz do two different lengths in their jackal frame, the bigger one is about the same as Canyon’s and they recommend it fro guys over 5’9, but lots of bigger guys prefer the smaller frames anyway, i don’t think it makes a massive difference since you don’t sit down and pedal.

Worth taking into account chainstay length when comparing… shorter the better, as not only does it help with manualling, but should you ever get into spinny tricks, it’ll help you to spin with less effort.
